LocalEats ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the LocalEats mobile application and web ordering site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide and information from third-party services:

• Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Profile Information: You may provide phone number, society/residential complex, building, and flat number to complete your profile.
• Order and Transaction Data: When you place orders or use the marketplace, we collect order details, delivery information, and payment-related data.
• Device Information: We use a device token (FCM token) to send you push notifications about order updates. This token is stored and used solely for notification delivery.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate and manage your account
• Facilitate orders, deliveries, and payments between buyers, sellers, and delivery providers
• Send push notifications about order status, payments, and relevant updates
• Improve our service and user experience

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase (cloud database) and Firebase (push notifications). We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

Our app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Sign-In – for authentication
• Firebase Cloud Messaging – for push notifications
• Supabase – for data storage

We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle your data.

5. Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
